ICE to return man to Portland after mistaken deportation

Kerry Doyle spoke with Spectrum News Maine about the case of Domingo Tot Quip, a Portland resident who was mistakenly deported to Guatemala after being misidentified by immigration authorities. Doyle, who represents Tot Quip, successfully petitioned federal court on his behalf, and the government has since agreed to return him to the United States and cover the costs associated with his return. Doyle discussed the unanswered questions surrounding the case, including how the misidentification occurred and why it took more than six months to bring Tot Quip back to Maine.
