These tactics, part of the Trump administration’s “extreme vetting” policy, have led to increased detentions, even for minor visa issues. Dan Berger, a partner at Green and Spiegel U.S., advises clients to be cautious about their social media and devices when traveling. Berger noted, “The chance of this happening to somebody is still low, but I’m definitely advising people to be very careful.”
