US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on July 29, 2021 that it conducted a second round of H-1B registration selections for the Fiscal Year 2022 H-1B Cap. Registrations selected through this lottery will be eligible for H-1B petitions to be filed on their behalf. USCIS also announced that the H-1B petition filing window for these selections is open from August 2, 2021 through November 3, 2021.
Our firm anticipates that the new selection results will likely be released on a rolling basis over the course of the next few days, as they were for the first lottery round. Employers with selected cases should also receive notifications from the myUSCIS system.
After the announcement, our firm and others encountered various error messages and issues with USCIS’ website, this was likely due to a high volume of website traffic on the USCIS website. However, these issues appear to be resolved as of the evening of July 29, 2021.
If you have a case/cases selected in the second lottery, our office will reach out directly to you to confirm selection details and next steps. Employers with selected cases should also receive notifications from the myUSCIS system.
Our office will continue checking the H-1B lottery portal multiple times a day for the next few days in order to monitor for any new selections and we will continue to provide updates on selected cases as soon as we receive them. Once we receive confirmation from USCIS that all results are final, our office will reach out promptly confirming as such.
