Just before the New Year, USCIS released updated processing time reports, with processing dates as of October 31, 2016, for a number of Service Centers.  Most importantly for our purposes, the Immigrant Investor (EB-5) Program processing times are included in this report.  For our readers’ convenience we have included the updated processing time table below:

Critically, on January 5, USCIS also announced that it will no longer post processing times using weeks or months.  In the past, USCIS posted processing times using two different formats:

  • For cases that were within USCIS production goals, the processing times were listed in weeks or months; and
  • For cases that were outside USCIS goals, processing times were listed with a specific date.

Now, USCIS will post all processing times using a specific date format rather than in weeks or months.
