Today, the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Appropriations released a much-awaited draft of a Continuing Resolution that would extend the EB-5 Regional Center Program, without any change in current legislative provisions, until December 9th, 2016. Specifically, the CR would extend the omnibus legislation that has currently authorized the program, Public Law 114-113. None of the proposed substantive program changes, such as those in the Goodlatte Bill, would be imported at this time.
Notably, the CR includes provisions affecting a great many programs, including the U.S. Military, Veterans Affairs, and appropriations for many agencies. It remains to be seen whether its terms are accepted by both the House and the Senate and signed into law by the President. We will continue to update our readers as the CR progresses through the political process.
