On July 30, 2024, USCIS announced that it would conduct a second randomized selection in the Fiscal Year 2025 H-1B Cap Lottery. In terms of timing the announcement is short on details, with USCIS indicating that it will make the additional selections “soon.” However, the Service did advise that all H-1B U.S. Master’s Cap slots were taken, so the second round of selections will go towards the unused visas in the H-1B Regular Cap. Thus, unselected H-1B Registrations submitted for both the Regular and U.S. Master’s Cap will vie for the remaining slots and, thereafter, will have 90 days post-selection to submit full H-1B Petitions to the Service Center listed on the Selection Notice for adjudication.

Green and Spiegel will be sure to communicate with clients regarding their H-1B Registration’s status as soon as we learn more. If you have any questions regarding your Fiscal Year 2025 H-1B Cap Registration, please do not hesitate to contact our office
