EB-5 stakeholders are abuzz today with news that the Regional Center program will be extended through May 5, 2017 with a clean CR unveiled late yesterday.  However, as we discussed earlier, unrelated issues are still affecting legislative compromise to keep the U.S. government open (and thus the Program ongoing) as Democrats may provoke a shutdown in opposition to a planned health care vote.

The situation remains very fluid and we encourage our readers to check back in with us frequently here at the Immigrant Investor Blog and on Twitter over the next 36 hours.

Update (12:30pm 4/28): The Republicans have backed away from the planned healthcare vote and the 7-day extension passed the House with an overwhelming majority. The bill now heads to the Senate, where it is expected to pass.
