We would like to congratulate associate Aris Daghighian for winning this year’s CBA National Immigration Law Section Founders’ Award. The award recognizes an exceptional junior lawyer annually. Upon selection as the award winner, Aris presented a compelling paper on the standard of review and the retrospective application of immigration law, in the context of Tran v. MCI. This is a topic of great importance that will have implications for criminal inadmissibility, judicial review and retroactivity. Congratulations Aris!
